Hi! I’m Myah. I’m about 1 ½ and you wouldn’t know at first if it you met me, but I’m really a fun, goofy, loving, energetic girl. I’m a bit standoff-ish with human strangers in the beginning but I get along great with other dogs after an introduction, and I love adventure.
I am constantly on the go with my foster mom and foster pup-siblings. We go to the park, off-roading, camping, hiking, and I’ve learned so much in the 5 months we’ve been together. See, I had a bit of a hard before I was rescued; I lived on the streets for weeks and was so afraid of people. My foster mom took her time and didn’t give up on me because she knows that my fur-ever family is out there just waiting to find me! She wanted me to be at my best when you finally show up so she’s house trained me and taught me how to walk on a leash, use the doggy door, play ball, run with her on the bike, sit, lay down and I’m kennel trained! I’m still working on coming when I’m called but I think it’s because I’m easily distracted. See, I’m part hound and I LOVE sniffing everything!
The fur-ever family I’m looking for should have these things in mind; I need at least one other confident, yet playful, dog in the house to help lead me and show me the ropes. I’m OK with men but prefer woman and I’m not too sure about little kids but would do good if they’re a little older and understand I like my space. I’m an energetic girl so I need a yard to play in and going for walks, playing ball, or training games are great to help keep me calm. I am also independent and can be quite sneaky at times so keeping dog chew toys available and reminding me about my kennel will help keep me from checking out what you may have around that I can try chewing on.
I’ll admit, I will take a little time to warm up to you but once I do, you can rub belly while I give you sweet kisses. Oh, and I love booty scratches and backyard zoomies!
In a nutshell, I’m a great girl who just needs a little time and understanding until I get to know you. If you think I could be a great match for you and your family, we should have a play date or two. My foster mom is happy to take me out so we can get to know each other. And, who know, this could be the beginning of a life-long beautiful friendship filled with fun, fur, and adventure. Love Connection Dog Rescue’s got my digits
